Helios Stormproof® Lighter

Fuel level window with ergonomic sized
refill cap are easy to find and use

The Brunton Stormproof Lighter burns at around 2000' F

Fuel window is easy to read and the removable cap
that unscrews to refill and adjust the flame fits in the hand well

Arrow #1 is the refill location and #2 is the level that
adjusts the height

The flame is more like a blow-torch
than the flame of a standard lighter.

Adjusted to a medium setting, the flame is ¾" (2 cm) tall with a pin-point tip. The flame burns steadily, without the "dancing" typical of a standard lighter.

The flame is very difficult to capture in a photograph as in the picture on the left. The flame shape has been outlined in the picture on the right.

Refillable butane gas fuel

The manufacturer suggest using a premium butane fuel. Premium fuel must be used when the lighter is taken more than 5,000 feet above sea level. For altitudes below 5,000 feet, regular butane fuel is sufficient. Burn time with each fuel filling is approximately 300 ignitions at 3-5 seconds duration (over 30 minutes). Easily refills in seconds with butane gas fuel which is available at most grocery, drug and convenience stores (check were cartons of cigarettes are sold). Shipped without butane fuel by law.
